Ten weeks old...

John was 10 weeks old this past Saturday. Every day is so much fun with the little one. He loves to sit up and look around. He enjoys being read to and looks at the pictures with great interest. He is a great sleeper and has been going to bed around 9 pm and sleeps until 7 or 8 am waking only once in the night to eat. He weighs about 14 pounds and is a little over 24 inches. He is such a happy guy and loves to smile and talk to us all the time. He is starting to grab things though his hands are still the most fun.

Booo!

John wakes up almost every morning smiling and moving his arms and legs and is happy as can be. This morning was no different and we brought him into bed for family time. After a clean diaper and getting dressed I was saying booo to the little man and getting awesome smiles in return...that was until he said "boooo" back to me - too cool. He has been mimicking facial expressions for awhile and making sweet noises but this mimicking the exact sound was so cool! We are enjoying the development of this little one and are amazed everyday by our bright and happy little boy.

Thinking of Nana and Papa

Nana and Papa came to visit when I was a week old and were able to spend time until I was a month old. I got lots of cuddle time with them. I can't wait for them to come back to visit this summer...I will be a big boy then and we will have lots of fun.

Two months old

John was two months old on the 10th and had his two month well baby doctor visit yesterday. He weighed in at 13.4 pounds and 23 inches long. He is certainly a healthy and growing boy. His weight is in the 5th percentile and his length in the 50th percentile. He is not missing any meals for sure :) The doctor said his health, growth and development are all FANTASTIC! He even smiled and cooed for the doctor which made her smile.

Eight weeks old

Baby John was Eight weeks old on Saturday. He is the most precious little man and we are so thankful for every moment with him. He is sharing so many smiles and laughs with us. He loves it when we stick out our tongues and make silly noises. He mimics some of our facial expressions and talks to us with the cutest sounds. He is a very strong boy and holds his neck stable and can support himself standing...just needs assistance to balance. Each day he shares something new...it is truly wonderful!
