John continues to grow before our very eyes. He is now reaching to be picked up...likes to stomp with his left foot when he is standing...holding and playing with his toes is a new fascination...is making great effort to sit up...continues to talk up a storm...loves books and smiles every night when his "Time for Bed" book is being read to him...has the greatest laugh...and continues to be an awesome baby boy! We say every day what an wonderful little boy he is and how lucky we are!

Our thoughts and prayers

My Aunt Stephanie has been bravely battling breast cancer for many years. Today she left us and is now in heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the family - she will be greatly missed. I feel very blessed to have had a chance to spend time with her last February in Colorado. She was certainly a loving and beautiful person - many good memories will be in our hearts and minds forever!

Rolling over...

Tonight John rolled from his back to his belly on his play mat! He had rolled over on Mother's Day but Daddy said that it didn't count as it was on sand...so we will mark today as his first time rolling over on a hard surface...we clapped and cheered him on! He is reaching for everything - loves to reach for whatever is in our hands. He is also realizing that he can use his voice to let us know what he wants...we are learning what all the sounds mean :-) The best is his laughter...he loves to laugh and it makes us smile everytime! He is such an awesome baby boy.

Four month doctor visit

Baby John had his four month doctor visit and received a great bill of health! His development is right on track (or ahead of normal...) and the doctor said he is a very healthy baby boy. He weighed in at a whooping 17.2 pounds (85th percentile) and is 25.75 inches long (75th percentile). Our little guy is growing up so fast...

Picnic at the beach...Happy four month birthday and Happy Mother's Day!

Yo...I'm four months old...cool huh!

John is four months old today! We are enjoying every day with this little guy and loving watching him grow. This past month he has started teething, is making great effort to sit up (does crunches often as he pulls himself toward a sitting position), loves to smile, laughs often - the belly laugh is awesome, rolled from his back to belly today on the sand, has decided that sucking his thumb is great, grabs for everything - Mommy hair is often in hand :-), still loves to stand and can stand with just the support of holding our fingers and is an extremely happy, healthy and awesome baby boy! He has started Baby and Me classes, enjoys time on his mat - both on his tummy and back, enjoys his activity jumper and adores his time with his Daddy. We are so lucky to be his parents!

An awesome day at the beach!

My first Mother's Day was perfect! Greg brought me tea and pastries in bed and we enjoyed a relaxed morning. John and I cuddled for a wonderful nap...awww. We enjoyed a gorgeous day at the beach. The sun was shining, sky was blue and the snow capped mountains made the view absolutely breathtaking! John enjoyed his first beach day of sand in his toes and lots of fresh mountain air. Greg planned a very tasty picnic too. I couldn't have asked for a more relaxed day with my guys! Certainly a memorable day for this Mommy!
