Ready for flip flops

For the past few days John has been putting on one of Greg's flip flops and walks all around the house - silly kid...guess it is time for his own pair!

Hanging out with Auntie Joy

Auntie Joy came to visit and John has so much fun playing with her. Auntie ed him breakfast and took some great pictures of him being a goofball and signing!

Sixteen months old

How quickly the months are flying by! John has had a great month and his development is amazing. John is talking so much...most of which we do not understand yet but he seems to add a new word each week. He is now saying Mama, Dada, Calie, Dog, Hi, Bye and Uhh (which is his sound to tell us he wants something and takes us to what he wants). He had taken a bit of a break from signing but in the past few weeks has started doing many new signs along with the ones he already knew. He is also putting multiple signs together and signs "please" when he wants something - gotta love those manners! John and Daddy listen to lots of music and dance a lot. Playzone is always a highlight for John and plays, plays, plays when he is there. He sneaks in hugs for Calie every now and again when she will tolerate it. Our neighbor Jud has a horse named Doc so John was able to meet his first horse and pet him too. John was in awe by the size of Doc! John loves to look through his books and read them to us. He often tells us when he is ready for bed and climbs into his bed, puts his head down and listens to his glow worm (so cute)! He is very good at listening to instructions for the most part and is a very helpful little guy. He is such a happy, easy going and sweet child...we are so thankful every day for our precious John!

John is a total goofball and loves to be silly, run around, talk up a storm, make funny faces, and makes us laugh everyday. Can't help but smile with these pictures for sure!

Mommy's little helper

For months John has helped me move laundry from the washer into the dryer. On this particular day he was determined to load the washer. It was a full load of towels and John did the WHOLE thing by himself. What an awesome little helper...gotta love this precious little man!

More please

Tonight at dinner John wanted more of the delicious pot pie his Daddy made and looked at me and signed "more" followed by the sign for "please". Such an awesome moment that he is able to put two signs together, especially since he just started signing "please" last night - yay John!
