Tooth #9

Yesterday another top tooth on the left popped through...the teeth they are a comin' :-)

New deck rails

Our deck is now childproof and John can run in and out and be safe - yay!!!

More teeth

John's 7th and 8th teeth came in today. One is a lower tooth to the left of his middle two teeth giving him three on the bottom. The other is an upper tooth to the right of his top four. There are lots of other gum areas that are swollen and bulging so more teeth are on the way!

Seventeen months old

John has definitely increased his signing and words in the past month. He is also combining many of his signs and putting words together. One day he took his shirt off all by himself and said "I did it". He also likes to point to me and say "I see you". He is now signing for Cheerios, signs "more" and "eat" together, has started signing "help", "sorry", and "thank you". He likes to point to his hair/head, ears, eyes and nose. He makes the noise for an elephant, and a rooster and thinks it is very funny! He LOVES to be outside and play. He also talks to Calie a lot and plays with her. He plays peekaboo with her and runs all over thinking she is chasing him when her is really chasing her...so cute! He continues to be a good eater. He is enjoying many of our organic CSA box fruits and vegetables. The zucchini and apricots are a huge hit. John also likes grapefruit and limes. He is weighing in just under 25 lbs and is wearing 18 month clothes. John loves to ride his Little Einstein rocket ship and cruises all around the house. He also continues to love music and dances up a storm. John loves to be chased and thinks it is fun to be scared! It has been a great month and we look forward to the summer months with our precious boy!

New signs, words and such

John's development continues to amaze us. In the past couple weeks he has added the sign for eat, drink and ball. He is also saying new words; mom (instead of mama), daddy (instead of dada), cockadoo (for cockadoodledoo), up, sit down and bunny. This week John has started taking his shirt off all by himself and points to his nose, ears, head and eyes when you ask. He is such an awesome little man...way to go John!
