Oh where, oh where to begin with the past month...
John is growing into such an amazing little man and everyday is such we are in awe! He now weighs 25 lbs and is nearly 33 inches tall. And busy, busy doesn't even begin to describe him. Some of the highlights for the month are; climbing onto the kitchen table, undoing the baby gate and climbing the stairs, riding on his car getting it going real fast to then stand on the seat while it is moving, talking up a storm, adding more and more signs and starting to go potty in his potty chair. If you ask John to say his name he will make the noise and sign of an elephant. And often all animal sounds are an elephant. Argghhhh is his sound for dinosaur and he has the greatest lion roar! John continues to love bath time and now stacks his sea creatures on the edge of the tub and loves to wash his face. He now brushes his teeth standing on his stool all by himself and mommy helps him finish by making sure all 10 teeth get the attention of the toothbrush. John sits on his potty before his bath and is showing interest in potty training. He LOVES to be outside and spends as much time out there as he can. He waters the gardens with the hose, runs around in the grass, plays on his car, trike and rocketship on the deck and plays, plays, plays! He says Mama, Dad, Daddy, Didily, Calie, Dog, Hi, Bye, Up, Ball, Bird, Bob, Uh Oh, Why, What, O's, Bath, and so many words that we are not understanding yet. John loves to play at the beach in the water and in the sand. He loves to play with other kids and new toys too! He is now feeding himself pretty much all the time and uses a fork and spoon quite well. He continues to be a great eater and is willing to try anything that is put in front of him. He loves to eat corn on the cob which is very fun to watch. He is also drinking out of a regular cup most of the time...when his sippy cup lid is on he usually takes it off or asks us to take it off :-) All in all he is a thriving, happy 18 month old...what a wonderful age!
