Twenty-one months old
What a truly fun month it has been. John's language and communication is on the fast track. Some of his favorite sayings are Where did it go?, What's that?, Who's that?, Calie, sit down, Toot-toot red car, ... He is also continuing to add new signs like book, fish, sorry and many more. We are so appreciative of the communication we have through signing and are loving hearing all his words. He loves to tickle others and says "ticka, ticka, ticka". Lately a very common word is peeka (pizza) and it is one of his favorite foods at the moment. John is quite the little hiker tackling many 2+ mile hikes. John is nearly potty trained and in big boy underwear most days. He likes to play his air guitar and dance, dance, dance! He has amazing balance and coordination on his cars and maneuvers corners that leave us in awe. He is also very into football and baseball. John continues to love his books, snuggle time, his trains and cars and being busy, busy, busy!

Twenty months old
This month John's Nana and Papa arrived to visit for a couple of weeks and John had soooooo much fun playing and hanging out with them. John has been very into coloring on his big pad of paper, playing with his new race cars, is quite the slugger and loves to play t-ball (he can really hit that ball and swing like a champ!). He continues to expand on his vocabulary with words like race car, papa, outside, inside, shoes, toes, nose, ouch, what is that?, who's that?, Calie come!, and so many animal sounds. John LOVES to dance and is very into the Wiggles. He is quite the climber and a little speed demon on his cars. He also loves to play golf on the Wii with his Daddy (yes, it is very, very cute). Being outside is still top on his list. And his books are always part of his day. He is now in training underwear part of the time and really doing an awesome job! He is now a little over 26 pounds and 33 inches tall. His smile is amazing and he loves to tell us stories. One night we had Chinese take-out and after dinner we went around reading our fortunes. John observed and then went around the table collecting the fortunes and climbed into his chair, got our attention, and then proceeded to read us all our fortunes taking time to laugh between each one. This went on for nearly a half hour and we were in tears from so much laughter! He is also into saying grace at the table and often is the one that grabs our hands...sometimes we say grace over and over and over again :-) John is such a blessing...we are so thankful everyday for him!
