We closed escrow on the 11th and are working on the cleaning and demolition. Within the next month we will be painting throughout, remodeling the kitchen, taking the room in the garage down, repairing wall damage, putting in hardwood floors and making it our new home. An exciting next step. And the space...oh the space :-)

New house
We closed escrow on the 11th and are working on the cleaning and demolition. Within the next month we will be painting throughout, remodeling the kitchen, taking the room in the garage down, repairing wall damage, putting in hardwood floors and making it our new home. An exciting next step. And the space...oh the space :-)
First tooth!
John has been drooling up a storm for the past couple months and we have noticed the increasing bumps under the gums. The past couple weeks we could tell that there was a particularly sensitive spot in there because when he would chew on his giraffe or teething apple he would cry when he hit a spot. Well, today we found that the lower right tooth has popped through...way to go John. We think that more will follow soon so stay posted!
Seven months old
John turned 7 months old on the 10th. He continues to grow, explore and spoil his parents with his happy and mellow demeanor. At 6 1/2 months John began rocking on all fours which developed into a speedy army crawl and he is now onto crawling. He has continued drooling up a storm and having soreness in his gums. We can feel little bumps under the top and bottom gums. John has started pulling himself us on our legs, the couch and anywhere that he can pull himself to standing or sitting. He is very strong indeed and has amazing determination. He is into his playskool car and firetrucks, continues to chomp away on Sophie le giraffe, LOVES books and being read to and overall is happy, happy, happy. John took his first plane ride on July 22nd when we headed to Florida. He was an angel and we will gladly travel with him anytime! He now loves to smile for the camera, laughs all the time, says dadadadadadada and maammmammmmaa, maamaaammmmama. Yayayayayaya, Baabaabaa, are also common sounds. He is now eating avocado, sweet potatoes, rice cereal, bananas, green beans and carrots. He is drinking water from a sippy cup and holding it all on his own. He is now understanding the signs for nursing, hungry, all done and more. He LOVES Calie and is thinking it is awesome that he can now go to her instead of patiently waiting for her to come to him. He loves to be waved to and is working on waving back. He is able to go from crawling and all fours to sitting and thinks that the downward dog yoga position is pretty darn cool. He rolls all over, thinks his toes are still very tasty, is playing peek-a-boo, is giving hugs and kisses and is still a little cuddlebug. John weighed in at 20 lbs on the 10th. As you can tell we love this baby boy so much. Every day he puts many smiles on our face and we look forward to the month ahead!
