Valentine's Day

John had a great Valentine's Day and loves his new doggie from Nana and Papa. Daddy and John came to visit mommy at work and brought flowers and chocolate...so sweet!

A visit from cousin Trevor

John went sledding down a small hill by himself numerous times...he just loves it!
Trevor checking out this sledding stuff :-)
Cousins
My goodness...how are these little guys big enough to walk to the sled hill...they grow so fast!
Getting geared up for sledding

Trevor, Ryan and Julie came up from Southern California for a visit. It was awesome to see Trevor and John play together. Grandma and Auntie Joy came to visit too - such a fun time for all!

Sledding hike

An awesome hike/sled in the snow!
Very relaxed :-)
This sled is really cool!
I'm all ready to go
I need a jacket please :-)

Gourmet baby

John eating teryaki salmon, sauteed broccoli with garlic and ginger and brown rice - yummy, yummy, yummy!
Still figuring out how to use his spoon on his own...but making a valiant effort!
I LOVE zucchini!
John ate almost a whole raw zucchini...and loves to eat steamed zucchini...he even knows where it is stored in the refrigerator :-)

Thirteen months old

So precious...and such a cutie!
Yummy, yummy in my tummy :-)
Very focused on reading my big animal book - I LOVE books!
Hanging out in my club chair
I like to hang out without pants on...so comfortable :-)

John has had a wonderful month of growing, playing, time with family and friends and developing his amazing personality. He is babbling up a storm and is now saying "mama", "dada", "Calie", "hi", "yay", "moo", "grrr", and lots of other sounds that we just don't understand. He also continues to sign and is now learning bath, fish, drink, diaper change, up, down, and many more. One of John's favorite things is to listen to music and dance. As you can see on a previous post that his dancing skills are quite amazing and we love watching him groove. He also brings almost every book out of his bookshelf and either sits and reads them to himself (so cute) or brings them to us to read. He loves to ride his sit and spin pony, his Little Einstein rocketship and loves to be pushed around in a box on the floor. John is weighing in at 23 pounds and nearly 31 inches tall. He is a great eater and we have yet to find something that he doesn't like. He is starting to eat more and more of our meals and is a very gourmet baby. He runs all around the house, plays the piano, plays ball, and loves to explore. Bath time is still a thrill as is brushing his teeth. Sometimes the only thing that gets him out of the bath happy is the knowledge that he gets to brush his teeth next. His hair is still blond and is coming in more and more every day. He only has 4 teeth but 2 more are so close to breaking through on top. John is such a wonderful little guy and we are so blessed to have him in our lives!
